Once SftTabs/NET 6.0 is installed on your development system, every project that is opened will use SftTabs/NET 6.0.

To prevent this automatic conversion, which is performed by Visual Studio, follow these simple steps.

Open your project. If you receive any error messages (usually if your forms are automatically opened in design mode), simply close all open files without saving them.

Access the Solution Explorer window using the View > Solution Explorer menu command.

Visual Studio automatically added all required references for SftTabs/NET 6.0:

Softelvdm.SftTabsNET
Softelvdm.SftTabsNET.ControlImpl
Softelvdm.Controls

Remove all references by selecting them (Control key + left mouse button) and hit the Delete key (or right-click to access the popup menu and select Remove).

Now use the menu command Project > Add Reference..., select the "Browse" tab to locate the SftTabs/NET 5.5 directory containing the dlls. The default path is C:\Program Files\Softelvdm\SftTabs NET 5.5\Bin.

Select Softelvdm.SftTabsNET.dll and click OK.

Your project can now be saved. All forms now use SftTabs/NET 5.5.
